Abby Wambach breaking the international scoring record for women AND men’s soccer didn’t make the cut.

But male athletes’ beards, murder charges, injuries and losing streaks did:

NYTimes Covers Kobe Bryant Made a YouTube Video, ZERO Women’s Sports

An article about a corporation subsidized by a traditionally sexist country, a youtube video that got lots of clicks, and Kobe Bryant… of course it would get posted instead of a single article on women’s sports.

The piece literaly defines the history by football programs- accurately so, unfortunately. A single all-male program dictates how far all other student-athletes will have to travel, who they will compete with, etc. REMEMBER: football teams making enough money to support the athletic department, or even themselves, is a myth.

Like I said…Yet another male pro team considers relocating to a different city after bilking city’s taxpayers for subsidies and expecting more subsidies at the next location.

If you think sports is ‘market-based on skill,’ you’re misled.

It’s not as simple as ‘men are better at sports,’ the economic structure is institutionally sexist because historically men’s sports have been subsidized more than women’s sports.
